Upcoming Focus Workshop in Collaboration with SCOT

To complement the objectives set in Camp Wira, we seek to continue building networks with other non-governmental organisations whose visions closely align with GAIA’s. This Focus Workshop will centre on inviting local and foreign experts to impart relevant and practical skill sets such as critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, conflict resolution, and confidence building upon participants from Camp Wira 2019

In doing so, GAIA will be working closely with the Society for Community Outreach & Training (SCOT) in executing the Focus Workshop . Since 2011, SCOT has made great strides in developing and implementing solutions - with a focus on education and empowerment - for sustainable poverty alleviation in Brunei Darussalam. As the essence of our work at GAIA is to help young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds find their voices at the regional scale, SCOT’s extensive repertoire in effective communication and project idea formulations to realise their goals make them the ideal partner for collaboration.

With SCOT’s assistance, we hope to imbue disadvantaged youths with a renewed sense of self-belief and the necessary skills to find resolutions to issues that they care about.
