GAIA Launches First Mentoring Programme

The Global Awareness and Impact Alliance (GAIA), in partnership with the Young Professionals Network (YPN), launched a Mentoring Programme on 31 January 2021 at Ruang in Yayasan Complex, Brunei. Offered as the final phase of the GAIA Youth Series, the Programme seeks to connect the GenerationGAIA youth to industry experts in Brunei.

This Mentoring Programme Launch is the result of hard work laboured over the past few months. Carefully coordinated by Dk Ayesha Pg Hj Mohd Salleh, GAIA first engaged the youth to discover their career goals and ambitions. We then invited specialists, ranging from industries such as defence, medicine, and banking, to mentor the youth. The Launch was a success as the youth met their new Mentors and held conversations over delightful food and crafts offered by our invited vendors Flying Apron, Arquilato Kusina, and Ratna Maria’s Arts and Crafts.

The Mentoring Programme will now take place over six months, ending with a grand Graduation Ceremony in July 2021. Mentor meetings will take place once a month, as the youth will engage in unique projects related to their field of interest. We would like to extend our appreciation to our partner YPN for extending their mentorship network to our cause. Our thanks also goes to the parents, youth, vendors, Yayasan, and the media for making this happen!
